MFLC Counselor

Tara Smith, MFLC Counselor

Ms. Smith is the Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) at Southwest Elementary School. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida State University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Since 2015, she has specialized in working with children and families, child welfare, and incarcerated youth, providing compassionate support and guidance to help them thrive.

Her passions include working with horses and developing programs to support military families through equine-assisted therapy. Outside of work, Ms. Smith enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and serving military and Gold Star families through the Travis Manion Foundation.
